Girl's Soccer Comes to an End

Last year the Astoria Girls Soccer Program lost nine seniors and a respected coach. Coach Jim Flint was scheduled to go through cancer treatments during this season. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it through his treatments and passed away on September 4th. The girls have missed him very much since his death.

The wonderful coach that took Jim Flint’s place is Jerry Boisvert. He did a fabulous job this season of bringing the girls together and making this year a learning experience for them. Boisvert is the previous head coach for the boy’s soccer team. The boys had many highly successful seasons with Boisvert as the coach.
